Head of Technology

The vision of Dr Frost Learning is to deliver high quality education for all individuals and
institutions regardless of income, centred around the philosophy that education is a
fundamental right of all and central to addressing social inequality on a global level.

Day-to-day responsibilities of the Head of Technology include:
● Overall technological direction, including choice of technologies, responsibility for the
codebase and implementation of new features, working directly with Jamie, who will
relinquish responsibility for programming but maintain overall control of product
direction.
● Initially, overhauling the existing codebase (written entirely by Jamie), to bring it in
line with modern architecture/practices.
● Diagnose issues and implement fixes, and perform regression and general testing.
● Initially, responsibility for maintaining our cloud hosted servers (on Google Cloud).
● Recruitment of additional programmers, whom you would line manage. We are
intending to employ at least one additional programmer during 2022.
● Work with the ‘Head of Key Skills’, Gaetan Dupont-Panon (a teacher), who has
overall responsibility for production of random question generators via our engine.
