Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Network Manager will oversee SmithRx’s pharmacy network partnerships and ensure the network’s successful day-to-day operations. S/he/They will drive network contract outreach and negotiation, manage network maintenance and administration within our adjudication platform, coordinate with various SmithRx teams to address internal and external network-related requests, and foster strategic relationships with key network partners. Our goal is to provide SmithRx members with a pharmacy network that offers comprehensive access to their medications at the lowest net cost attainable in the market.
What will you do:
- Work with our Member Support and Implementation teams to identify opportunities to bring additional pharmacies into our network and initiate outreach to these locations
- Manage contractual negotiations with pharmacies, including coordination with our Legal and Pricing teams, to ensure the final contract is compliant with all applicable laws and serves our clients' best interests
- Enter contract specifications into our claims adjudication platform, maintaining and/or building additional network functionality as needed
- Coordinate with our Pricing team to investigate and respond to pharmacy pricing inquiries
- Support our Finance team in fielding payment and remittance-related pharmacy inquiries
- Build relationships with our key network partners (retail, mail, and specialty), identifying opportunities for mutually-beneficial strategic initiatives
What you will bring to SmithRx:
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred (e.g. PharmD, MBA)
- 5-8 years of PBM or other relevant experience required
- Experience working with National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) data strongly preferred
- Strong vendor relationship management experience
- Intermediate skill in Microsoft Excel strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills via meetings and written correspondence
- Self-starter mentality: ability to make informed decisions, find creative approaches to difficult challenges, and deliver on commitments
- Execution-focused ethos - you are a solutions-oriented problem solver and efficiency driven
