Do not apply if you need via sponsorship. Applicants must fully understand multiple aspects of database systems, with a focus on complex SQL database types. Experience with other Db types and data engineering experience is a plus. The candidate must be motivated, entrepreneurial, creative, well organized and willing to work for stock options and low pay only initially. There are strong business opportunities already in place. We prefer entrepreneurial minded candidates that wish to be with the company long term. The candidate will also be involved with project planning, scoping, and provide input for systems design. This candidate will be focused, driven, and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically, have excellent time management skills, and have a demonstrated ability to execute in chaotic or fast paced environments. This is a remote position with no travel required. We cannot sponsor visas at this time.

Responsibilities

Design, improve, and build data warehousing and SQL databases
Optimize and troubleshoot existing SQL Dbs
Collaborate and bring analytical prototypes to production
Work with stakeholders to optimize data science to support intelligence operations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Focused and goal-oriented

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in data engineering field (SQL, Apache products, data storage, processing, data science)
At least 4 years' of experience in data engineering
Deep understanding of current open source tools and Microsoft/.NET environments
Fluency in Devops and Azure Dev Ops.
Familiarity with Db frameworks and visualization tools (SQL, Kafka, Pulsar, Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark, Tableau)
