At Notos Technologies, we’re developing leading-edge artificial intelligence to unlock the full potential of flight and make it more sustainable. Our real-time flight planning & guidance software enables aircraft to fly energy efficient paths that exploit wind currents, just like birds. It’s a ‘Waze for Pilots’ for manned flights and a fully autonomous pilot for drones. During simulations and test flights, our system was able to reduce fuel and carbon dioxide emissions by 10%, increase loitering flight time by a factor of 10, and improve on-time performance and reliability.
Our startup is looking for a candidate that has the technical background and domain expertise to develop a scalable, multi-tenant, web-based application.

Responsibilities

• Build a flight routing web application that integrates our state-of-the-art algorithms from the ground up.
• Work side-by-side with clients and colleagues on challenging problems.
• Take leadership in applying software development and testing best practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of proven enterprise experience
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical field of study
• Proficient in Vue, Django and Nodejs framework
• Experience building high availability, scalable and performant software for enterprise level products
• Full understanding of HTTP protocol, Web services and REST
• Cross-platform, cross-browser development
• Javascript, Typescript, Python
• Experienced with popular databases for building modern apps
• Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures and algorithms
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns, particularly MVC
• Highly motivated, dedicated, creative, productive and ability to deliver on time
• Demonstrable leadership experience
• Proven track record of solving difficult problems Bonus Skills:
• Experience in GIS, Web map or vehicle routing applications
• Experience with Esri ArcGIS
