The Role
Empirical Path seeks an Analytics Engineer with strong programming skills and developing analytical and client service skills to support our offices in Atlanta, GA; Albuquerque, NM and Washington, DC. Remote candidates in the U.S. are more than welcome. Empirical Path are “Analytics Experts for your Digital Business”, a digital measurement consultancy that has served hundreds of commercial, government, not-for-profit and ad agency clients since 2002. We have grown 50% per year as a Certified Partner of Google for products like Analytics 360, Tag Manager, Optimize and BigQuery. We are also a partner of Adobe, Tealium, Segment, Parse.ly and Mixpanel.
Responsibilities
The Analytics Engineer is responsible for learning from and supporting our Account teams as they implement and enhance web and app analytics and tag management tools to help clients understand their audiences, enhance their digital user experience, and increase their online conversions. The Analytics Engineer will assist multiple engagements at all stages, including:
● Understanding client needs and translating them to measurement plans that align with KPIs
● Auditing web and app analytics and tag management tool implementations and recommending improvements
● Planning and executing enhancements to web and app analytics and tag management tools and processes
● Performing thorough validation and documentation
● Implementing A/B split testing code and experiments
● Assisting Account leads with estimates for proposals and timelines
● Identifying opportunities to capture additional user behavior data
Required Skills & Experience
● 2-3 years expertise in JavaScript and HTML.
● Experience with one or more analytics software, including Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Webtrends, Mixpanel, Parse.ly and other web and app analytics software.
● Experience with Google Tag Manager, Tealium, Adobe Dynamic Tag Manager, Segment or other Tag Management System/CDPs.
● Strong understanding of website design, development and publishing.
● Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and Google Drive equivalents.
● A dedicated, quiet work area with phone and high-speed web connectivity.
● Availability during 4-8 continuous hours of your choice from 8 a.m. ET to 8 p.m. ET.
Desired Skills
● Experience with server-side (PHP/MySQL or similar), database administration and scripting.
● Experience with testing and personalization tools such as Google Optimize, Visual Website Optimizer, Optimizely, etc.
● Proven track record of working with mobile app analytics.
● General understanding of online marketing channels including PPC, SEO, affiliate programs, social media, email, partnerships, etc.
● College degree or MBA.
● Web analytics certification or other training.
● Proven written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
