Backend Developer Python / Django / Postgres

This is a unique opportunity to join the founding team of a European startup operating in smart mobility and establish a leadership engineering role. This is a full time, remote role.

Your role

Tech-Lead of our backend and frontend products: Django application (packaged with Docker), Postgresql database and frontend ReactJS web application.

You are:

• An experienced developer with at least 7 years of commercial experience developing commercial SaaS using Django / Postgres.
• Have solid understanding of Python (3.x) and Django (4.x) framework.
• Experienced in developing REST APIs using DRF.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, worked as DBA - strong plus.
• Celery, RabbitMQ, Redis, Sentry, Docker, Fabric.
• Experience with building React.JS web apps
• Dev-ops wizard, able to set-up and maintain cloud linux servers (DigitalOcean), database and application server redundancies.
• Knowledge of web security, analysis and risk mitigation (Pentests, scanning malicious network traffic, etc.) - strong plus.
• OAuth2 development with django-oauth-toolkit - strong plus.

You will:

• Be the lead developer / tech lead for the product.
• Develop new applications and/or features in existing apps.
• Integrate OAuth2 across all our RESTful APIs, and our developer portal.
• Develop tools and automated tests for improving our product.
• Improve performance, scaleability and reliability of our database.
• Build and lead a team of developers, create knowledge base, establish coding standards.
