About the Role
Savi is seeking a senior director of technology to bring our fully autonomous management service of credit cards to life. The primary focus of your role will be the designing and creation of a product that will not only improve the financial lives of our users, but ultimately impact their general wellbeing by lowering stress through alleviating the task of managing their credit card debt.

Technology Mission
At Savi, we are paving the road to becoming a fully autonomous financial service to improve the financial lives of our users, ultimately resulting in a more generalized sense of wellness. Because of our desire to help alleviate a sense of pain brought on by financial debt and worry, we are looking for technical members who will seek and uncover the specific problems our users experience in their financial journey, while helping to implement dynamic solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate in the development of the technical aspects of the service
• Collaborate in the creation of new services that align with the company mission
• Design and manage the hiring process for the technical department
• Establish technical operations process for software development, management, control, and implementation
• Create advantageous technical strategies around company services to support durable scalability
• Design competitive service strategies that support vertical and horizontal company growth
• Independently design backend systems for new features as per product requirements and participate in design discussions with the team
• Assist QA and stakeholders during integration/system/user acceptance testing
• Write testable, maintainable clean code along with unit tests
• Perform routine maintenance bug tests and fixes
• Coordinate with other company departments in order to meet service compliancestandards

Skills and Qualifications
• Experience in leading and managing teams regarding software development
• Strong capability in being able to assist in coordinating and/or managing multiple projects, including, but not limited to, problem/solution discovery, software development, UI/UX, investor negotiations, and hiring new team members
• Amble communication skills and capability to deliver instructions across diverse teams
• Hands on full stack web development experience
• Ability to architect a service of a database-backed dynamic web application (from back end to front end UI)
• Technical/Computer Science degree helpful (BS, MS, PhD)
• Strong experience with programming languages such as Java, GoLang, Scala or Python
• Experience in building products or services in highly sensitive and secure industries
• Direct experience in the designing and development of a new product or service
• Solid knowledge in caching, session, performance optimization
• Good knowledge of the CI/CD process
• Adept in fundamental design principles
• Ability to understand concepts related to building RESTful APIs
• Proficient in using code versioning tools
• Knowledge of the landscape of home finance and digital financial management is a bonus
