Senior Software Engineer

Who We Are:

Pathloom, a pre-seed technology startup in the outdoor recreation space, is looking for Senior Software Manager to assist in our mission to get more people outdoors more often. We are utilizing our unique platform to simplify the outdoors discovery and planning process, and we’re looking for talented, proactive candidates with an interest in entrepreneurship and a passion for the outdoors to help us succeed in our mission! We’re building the world’s first all-in-one outdoor travel planning app, and we need your help to do it!

Who You Are:

The Senior Software Engineer position would take ownership of the software itself, as well as the technical team as our company progresses through the Beta stage of app and website development. We’re looking for someone who can handle the unique challenges that arise in both short and long term technical scenarios when building a company. The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of experience building and leading strong technical teams, and would be asked to do so in this role as well.

Experience managing a database on a server and handling changes
BS in Computer Science or Engineering
5+ years engineering experience

Preferred Experience:

Mapbox

Product/App development experience
MS in Computer Science or Engineering
7+ years engineering/managerial experience

What You’ll Do:

In the initial stages of this role, the Senior Software Engineer would work closely with the engineering team to ensure deadlines are met for revisions to the software, without sacrificing the quality of the features to be implemented. This role would also work with product managers to troubleshoot, prioritize, and provide solutions to bugs that arise within the programming of our app and website.

The ideal candidate would be passionate about working with an early-stage startup, building teams, and leading the technical and software development efforts from scratch.
