Sif Homes
About the job
About the Company:
Sif Homes came out from Alchemist in May 2021. Broadly, we are disrupting the networking industry with novel mass-market consumer devices and software offerings on top of that. This could pay off well given our pricing, tech, team, timing, and UX.**
Our team includes IIT, Stanford engineers, ex-SharkTank funded growth ninjas, and very solid UX guys who have worked on Google's UX Projects. Our advisory board includes the CXOs of CISCO and other Fortune 500 companies.
Here’s why we're dedicating the next decades of our lives to Sif Homes:
1. We are solving the notorious WiFi dead zones problems in Work/Learn from Home in a very clean, scalable, and generalizable manner.
2. Our team packs 30+ years of experience with consumer hardware and 20+ years of experience selling $10M+ worth of products on Amazon.
3. We'll potentially disrupt the mesh router business globally by offering a better, faster, and more affordable alternative that doesn't depend on distance from router/APs.
4. We aim to become a go-to platform for better WiFi for 500 million Indians through our ₹199/month/user(or $2.5/user/month) sachet model.
5. We're deeply focused on building software moats for long-term defensibility & have identified a few key areas where we could be effective.
Having Sif Homes' presence in the walls to expand Wifi footprint allows some extra interesting integrations. One of the features with instant value is the ability to monitor and control high power devices such as a geyser. The most popular geyser on Flipkart uses 3kW of power. A geyser running for 20 minutes will cost 6INR, with costs rising every year. If Sif can save 11 hours of geyser use per month, either by predictive means or by allowing remote access in case the geyser is accidentally left on during the day, the customer has already paid back their subscription. Air conditioners also use similar amounts of energy, so this area of investment into the Sif Homes space is both helpful to the function of the home and the economics of a home.
