Senior Quality Engineer

Job summary

The Evren engineering team is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our global team positioned at the heart of the Evren operating system. In this role, you will contribute to the quality of the core OS and supporting system, applicative componentry, and APIs.
As part of the Evren team, you will create test plans and quality reports using automation. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be a key contributor in ensuring customer satisfaction and ensuring the evolving needs of Evren OS’ rapidly growing customer base are met.

Primary job responsibilities

• Create testing plans and test cases for various scenarios
• Explore multiple ways to run, configure, and test features
• Create, add, and maintain automation tools and tests to cover your test plans
• Debug complex systems and communicate possible failures
• Find bugs and file accurate and constructive defect reports
• Analyse root causes for failures and advises on possible solutions
• Communicate your findings and work to the rest of the teams
• Contribute and review documentation
• Share your knowledge gained from troubleshooting issues by contributing to the global knowledge base system; present troubleshooting instructions and solutions to other engineers within the domain

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience and skills in software quality engineering
• Familiarity with basic testing methodologies
• Deep understanding of Linux
• Solid scripting skills and experience with Python especially geared towards automated testing.
• Basic knowledge of operating systems, networking, storage, and security
• Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to communicate technical issues in English

• Working knowledge with Python and JavaScript
• Solid core operating system knowledge
• Experience with Git
• experience with continuous integration (CI) or continuous delivery (CD)
• Working experience with containers, cloud, or virtualization
• Contributions to opensource projects
• Working knowledge of microservices architectures
• Experience with Kubernetes
