Salary: NGN 200,000 - NGN 300,000 / monthly (netpay) + Sales Commissions/Incentives , Health Benefits + Sales Car (on confirmation)

Job Brief:

We are looking for a seasoned Key Accounts Manager specialized in Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) with strong existing relationships with HMOs, Pharmacies, Telemedicine and Laboratory providers, to join our team. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining strong relationships with our most significant clients in the pharmacy benefits sector. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of pharmacy benefits management, pharmaceutical industry trends, and client relationship management. Your role will involve ensuring client satisfaction, expanding our business, and positioning our services as a leader in the PBM industry.

The role holder is responsible for selling the company's Pharmacy Benefits Management product to HMOs and onbaording pharmacy, lab and telemedicine seller partners to service HMO orders. You will strive to maintain good relationships with existing clients, gaining repeat business wherever possible and ultimately increase B2C sales via the HMO channel across Nigeria.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and sustain long-term relationships with key accounts in the pharmacy benefits sector. Serve as the primary liaison between the clients and our company, ensuring all client needs are met.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Understand the specific needs and business drivers of each key account. Develop strategic plans to enhance client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Service Delivery and Support: Oversee the delivery of pharmacy benefits services to key accounts, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and client expectations. Address any issues or concerns promptly and efficiently.
  • Sales and Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities for expanding services within existing key accounts. Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for new client acquisition and market expansion.
  • Contract Negotiations: Lead contract discussions and negotiations, ensuring terms are favorable and align with both client needs and company objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly review account performance, including service utilization, cost management, and customer satisfaction. Use insights to drive continuous improvement and strategic adjustments.
  • Market and Industry Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics in the pharmacy benefits sector. Leverage this knowledge to advise clients and shape service offerings.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide comprehensive reports to senior management on account status, challenges, and strategic opportunities. Ensure effective communication across all internal teams involved with account management.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of HMO’s needs and requirements, And sell to them and acquire their business
  • Be responsible for sourcing for, bringing on board and managing Seller Partners in the Pharmacy. Telemedicine and Laboratory space to fulfil HMO orders to enrollees
  • Expand the relationships with existing HMOs by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Builds sustainable positive relationships with target HMOs and different stakeholders
  • Be the lead contact for all our HMO, Telemedicine and Laboratory client matters, by anticipating the client’s needs, work within the key accounts stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met and deadlines for client requests are fulfilled in order to maintain the success of the relationship
  • Work with Claims Officer to ensure SOPs are adhered to for HMO/Seller Partner onboarding, fulfilment of orders for HMOs to patients, proper documentation of verified claims, payments to seller partners and processing payments from HMOs in a timely manner. Ensure that Seller Partners have all of the packaging materials with which to deliver orders to enrollees

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, or related field.
  • Significant experience in key account management, preferably in Pharmacy Benefits Management, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Deep understanding of PBM operations and the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and strategic planning abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Google and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Ability to work in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Role is based inLagos but may require some travel within and outside Nigeria
  • Responsibilities and job description may be refined with changing business needs.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years+ working experience in same role in another Pharmacy Benefits Company

Schedule:

  • Monday-Saturday
