Senior Software Engineer

OutPoint helps DTC (Fintech, SaaS, eCommerce) startups and scale-ups model digital and offline ad spend in order to improve marketing efficiency and effectiveness.

We are a venture-backed startup in the Toronto ecosystem looking to onboard a senior engineer to join our skilled team of research and software engineers.

Primarily, we want someone with experience and ambition that can drive engineering quality and help with mentorship as the team continues to grow.

The key engineering problems we are working on:

Growth modelling: statistical modelling and validation for million++ dollar ad investments

Horizontal scaling: managing infrastructure and security across customer deployments.

Production Machine Learning: systems for ensuring model effectiveness across a wide customer base

Our Tech Stack:

Front-end: React, Jest+RTL, Material-UI, Redux

Back-end: Python, Django, Flask, Torch, SciKit, Pandas

Infrastructure: AWS, CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CDK, Airflow, Docker

Requirements

3+ years of software engineering experience (bonus if it’s with high-growth, venture-backed or established tech companies)

Proven ability to deliver stable and robust architectures

Track record of facilitating team growth by providing mentorship and leading through example

Ideal Candidate:

Prior experience with live customer deployments

Prior work experience in a fast-growing tech environment

Prior exposure to machine learning, statistics, or econometric systems
