We are a tech consulting company looking for a dynamic, sales-driven, and experienced Director of Business Development to manage the lead generation and sales outreach for the company. The ideal candidate must have strong ties and relationships within the industry along with a previous sales role at a big four consulting firm where you were directly responsible for closing new business. Our company SYNERGY started by helping startups and early-stage entrepreneurs build, launch, and scale their tech products. Since then, we have now grown to service larger mid-sized hypergrowth companies that are focused on redefining business processes, simplifying their operations, and maximizing profits with technology automation.
This new Business Development executive opportunity favors an aggressive-minded candidate living in the Northeast as we expand our service offerings to larger enterprises. As part of our team (satellite offices in Stamford CT, and Boston MA) you will work remotely and independently to help deliver customized and effective technology solutions to clients. As the Director of Business Development, you will report directly to the CEO and COO to identify channels for more qualified lead flow, researching these leads, and managing the funnels to convert them into long-term contracts.
SYNERGY’s mission is to partner with mid-sized companies and large enterprises seeking to identify additional avenues of growth through internal technology innovation. In this sense, the Business Development Executive is the catalyst that results in optimizing powerful consumer insight, engagement, efficiency, which all lead to long-term growth for all clients.
Responsibilities:
Utilize internal and external sources and databases for client and industry research. Bring 3 deals within 6 months worth at least 250k+ each deal.
Help clients understand leading business processes so they can transform their business with SYNERGY Consulting
Spot strategies, risks, and options, and then recommend approaches that sidestep problems and help clients, units, and stakeholders meet their needs.
Give clients demos and options for solutions using functional prototypes with automation as well as a business process flow.
Work with and assist the executive team in establishing relationships, converting due diligence targets to ongoing clients, and developing opportunities.
Be viewed as a thought leader (creative thinking and innovation); proven credibility (knowledge/trust) both externally as well as internally.
Qualifications:
At least 10-15 years of combined experience in Sales and Business Development. Have strong decision-maker contacts of NY/Boston-based companies whose revenues exceed 10 million a year. Our current target industries include Food distribution, E-commerce, Logistics, and broad-based Business to Business services.
Experience closing deals $250K and above as well as providing examples of such deals.
Up to date on industry trends within specific verticals such CRM, Payroll Platforms, Logistics, Order Fulfillment, Backend Data Management, and Integration.
Detail-oriented with the ability to draw logical business conclusions while recognizing the “big picture” opportunities for each client.
Strong Communication (written and oral) – ability to communicate with C-level decision-makers.
A proven track record for developing relationships/confidence from stakeholders (both internally and externally).
Financial – basic understanding of financial statements.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs
Pay: Pay is a combination of a small stipend/salary + a large commission for the perfect candidate. The goal is to help make 100k within 6 months for the candidate.
