Slate Studios is a Creative Production Company focused on Advertising & Editorial services for the Fashion, Beauty, and Lifestyle Industry. We are industry leaders in photography and motion production with clients ranging from emerging brands to established global leaders.

JOB SUMMARY

As Digital Marketing Manager, you will create and build our digital marketing strategy and plan. Additionally, you will manage and facilitate our annual marketing budget and annual planning, own our project management processes, and provide strategic decision support.

We are looking for an analytical thinker that can quickly grasp the nuances that Slate Studios services and our business model, and can translate varied information into meaningful insights. You are able to collaborate seamlessly across social, email, and website channels, and design actionable solutions that meet a diverse set of commercial needs. You are an innovative leader who can inspire and guide the Slate Studios team to think bigger.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Manage the day-to-day operations of the direct revenue-driving channels including Email, Paid Search, Affiliates, Re-Targeting, and Paid Social
Establish longer term marketing planning alongside Slate Studios business plans
Own the development and management of our annual marketing budget
Manages the brand’s presence on service discovery sites such as Instagram
Oversee Analytics for slate-nyc.com; responsible for weekly, monthly reporting and analysis
Work with our CEO to tackle both marketing and cross functional strategic challenges and opportunities
Ensure the timely communication of sales, promotions and service releases
Assist in the creation of the annual digital marketing strategy in collaboration with the CEO and keep abreast of the latest digital marketing trends
Maintain the digital and social media calendars for scheduling and distribution of all content related to digital PR and digital marketing
Responsible for requesting, compiling, and helping to analyze competitive data
Assist with social media strategy from an organic and paid perspective for evergreen content, campaigns, events, and company-wide initiatives
Responsible for managing marketing team consisting of copywriter and email marketing developer/strategist
Responsible for tracking invoices related to digital marketing to be sent to CEO

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Bachelor's degree
5+ years of related experience
Leadership experience and a desire to build and shape our marketing and branding goals
4+ years of experience using analytic and digital platforms including Google Ads, Google Analytics, Instagram/Facebook Ads
Proven ability to scale paid traffic while maintaining CPA targets
Strong knowledge of how affiliate and paid marketing channels fit together
The ability to tell compelling, persuasive, data-driven stories
Ability to effectively manage outsourced vendors (copywriter, graphic designer(s), email marketing strategist/developer)
Experience running A/B, multivariate tests
Proven expertise finding and implementing new opportunities in search, social, retargeting, and email
Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, dealing with ambiguity
Ability to see the effects of the decision prior to implementing
Must be able to think strategically and see the big picture while knowing how to execute it tactically
Proactive approachability to anticipate future actions that may be required
Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines and budgets. Must be able to work both as a team member and independently. Must be flexible to adapt to shifting priorities
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
The ability to think big and also be equally resourceful and innovative in bringing your ideas to fruition
Have a strong grasp of how competitive market forces impact decision making for businesses in real life
Strong project management/time management skills

DAY RATE

Rate will be commensurate with experience.
