Senior Software Engineer

We are Stayforlong, a fast-growing startup specialized in hotel bookings from three nights onwards with better discounts the longer the client stays.

We love challenges, moving fast, thinking out-of-the-box, and inspiring people who want to take the company to the next level. Right now, we collaborate with more than 500,000 hotels worldwide and with the main metasearchers such as Trivago, Tripadvisor, Google Hotel Ads, Kayak, and Skyscanner.

Job purpose:

You will work with our product team to design, implement and evolve our products to become the preferred brand for travelers and accommodations all over the world and the best way to connect for both of them. Currently, we have openings in our Acquisition, Supply, and Conversion teams.

Main job responsibilities are:

• Build backend services for a web-based product in an Agile environment.
• Develop and scale distributed systems.
• Design, implement and test your solutions.
• Integrations with 3rd party APIs.

What you will bring:

• Relevant experience in similar roles building technically complex products in Go, Python, Java, PHP, Ruby, or C++.
• Comfortable with asynchronous programming techniques: streams, task queues, message queues.

Valuable:

• Strong Go language knowledge.
• Experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers.
• Experience with cloud computing in general and AWS in particular.
• Experience working as part of a remote team.

Our tech stack:

• Our services are written with Golang, PHP8, Python, and JavaScript.
• They leverage Redis, Elasticsearch, and MySQL.
• Communication flows through JSON APIs, gRPC, Protobuf, and Kafka.
• We monitor our systems with Datadog, Graylog, and Sentry.
• Operations are performed on top of Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, Slack, and Git.
• Everything runs on AWS.

• Permanent contract.
• Remote within Spain, full-time, and flexible schedule. You should be able to commit to 40h per week.
