Zupamart is a social marketplace, where users (individuals and businesses) negotiate to sell and buy anything. There are no price tags on Zupamart. The price is formed through the process of closed, real-time bargaining process. This allows the sellers to price discriminate and achieve the so-called price equilibrium. As a result, this leads to higher profits, while also providing buyers with the opportunity to bargain for any listed item and purchase only for the price they are ready to pay. Zupamart challenges the concept of fixed and dynamic pricing, which dominates contemporary e-commerce landscape.

Bargaining is a part of culture in many countries in South and South East Asia, North Africa, Middle East, Eastern Europe and Latin America. In Europe and the US people also bargain to buy luxury goods, antiques, rare items, cars and real estate. Everyone across the world is already bargaining and Zupamart simply attempts to transform a real-life practice into an online marketplace
