We are Yourun a Maltese based independent video game studio and we are doing Warshmallows©, a 2D fast-paced arena shooter made for casual competitive. Slow-motion, triple jump, dash, fly, teleport and unique super-moves; Warshmallows is a game that mixes mechanics of 50% shooter and 50% escape the bullet. Made to be quick to play, fun to master and easy to watch.
- Quick to play: Our aim is to let the players get into a play session under 10 seconds and starts enjoying the game.
- Fun to master: The game is very simple to play and accessible for everyone, and the more you play the more you will enjoy controlling all the superpowers of the Warshmallows.
- Easy to watch: With our graphics, special effects and simple mechanics, even viewers will enjoy watching Warshmallows.
The Warshmallows will be available in 2 modes :
1- A local couch multiplayer game on shared screen that will bring back the fun of spending quality time with your family and friends while playing intense matches casually in front of your TV or screen.
2- An online 2D battle royale where the innovation is to make players jump from a level to another to avoid catastrophes: The Battle Royale mode in Warshmallows will be different from all the other games: when the game starts, 32 players will be randomly spread over 9 different maps, connected to each other like a Matrix. They will be fighting in a single level, like the couch party mode. The main difference is that they will be able to travel instantly from a level to another through portals.
To push the players to the confrontation, we will create a ‘’catastrophe’’ in one of the levels randomly (Volcano, Floods, etc…) making it unsafe for the survivors and pushing them to run and meet to fight against each other in another level. The last standing player or team will win.
All this happening in a very cute universe, where you will have to fight in a team or solo to be the last person or team standing.
