Xylogenics creates valuable, non-consumed, genetically engineered yeast to drive more efficient production of bio-based chemicals and products. Xylogenics flagship product is for the low barrier to entry fuel ethanol market.
Xylogenics first product is a patent pending advanced yeast called F15 that will save the average ethanol producer up to $500,000 a year through enzyme and production savings over existing commercial dry yeast. Additionally, these yeasts are supplied in a liquid form that is not plant friendly. Xylogenics will provide its yeast in a plant friendly dry format using the previously accepted per pound pricing model targeting $7-$10/lb at a 50%-60% margin. At a modest 10% market penetration, an $8/lb price point would generate ~5M/yr in net sales. Xylogenics F15 is ready for scale up and commercial pilot trials. We are finalizing an agreement with an industry renowned distributer.
