At forgood, we're trying to change the way the developing world gives by creating a technology platform to capacitate and empower South Africa’s non-profit sector.

There is an increasing realisation that government alone cannot solve all social issues. What they can do, is provide financial resources and support change through policy. Non-profits also can't close every gap left by government - donor fatigue, activist fatigue and a business model under threat means the sector is desperately under capacity. The outcomes they continue to achieve despite this, are astonishing.

The majority of the world’s poor (with all the resultant developmental challenges) live in countries where there is a significant middle class, powerful high-income segment and active private sector. We need to mobilise these domestic resources, alongside the efforts of government and the non-profit sector, to effect extensive social change.
