We remove carbon from the atmosphere by burying trees - which are roughly 50% carbon - in specialized underground caches which are designed to ensure that the trees do not decompose. This long-term approach to carbon sequestration effectively ensures that the carbon does not re-enter the atmosphere for at least 100 years (and likely much longer than that). We generate revenue by selling carbon removal credits directly and through the puro.earth exchange. We are primarily looking for individuals that are highly motivated by our mission of protecting earth's diverse ecosystems, mitigating anthropogenic climate change, and building a more just, inclusive future.
