Aquaculture is the fastest-growing food production sector on the planet for a reason: the oceans are being overfished, which means that we have to find another way to produce seafood. Aquaculture currently accounts for over half the seafood produced around the world, and there is more seafood produced every year than beef. It's the most efficient converter of feed into animal protein, with a much smaller environmental footprint than any other form of animal protein production.
