Widewalls careers
Widewalls is an online marketplace and magazine dedicated to modern and contemporary art.
Launched in 2014, with over half a million visitors per month, Widewalls is already amongst the top 10 online marketplaces dedicated to art, globally.
Our renowned magazine already contains more than 21,000 articles covering all aspects of modern and contemporary art. And there are more than 35,000 artworks to discover or buy on Widewalls’ marketplace, as well as auction results covering 80% of the market over the past 5 years.
Widewalls offers an engaging platform from which curated galleries, auction houses and art fairs can reach a qualified audience of art lovers and collectors.
With fair pricing and fair practices, Widewalls is the partner that the traditional art dealer sector needs to access and serve the online art market more efficiently.
The platform was acquired in 2017 by its current CEO, Francis Berthomier. To bring the business to scale, Francis has restructured the existing team and processes to be able to cope with high growth, reoriented the strategy, reviewed the pricing and service models, and more recently selected and migrated to a new, high quality on-shore IT provider.
He raised €200k in 2019 to fund an in depth re-writing of the platform (Delivery: April 2020) and start accelerating sales and marketing.
The current raise will be 100% invested in growth initiatives over the coming 18-24 month and should allow us to get close to break even.
We anticipate to generate a €3m to €4m net cash flow in 4 to 5 years.
