Culture and benefits at Whywhywhy

Culture overview

We're a 5 person team, so we're early and much to figure out still, but here's what we found to be important to us: We care about building great software We're customer-focused and thrive on user feedback We are curious and don't mind admitting when we don't know something We care about improving our craft and becoming the best we can be at it We care about design, particularly the how-it-works kind of design. If you're a fan of Engelbart, Alan Kay and Bret Victor you'll fit right in. We believe in autonomy and ownership We don't take ourselves too seriously We believe in open and honest communication—if you have something on your mind, get it out. We get a kick out of working on problems together and ask each other for input on our respective areas all the time. No waterfall bs. Our two founders are based in Boulder, CO and the team is remote. We make sure everyone on the team have the setup they need to do their best work. We do think it's important to get facetime, so we regularly (every quarter at least) fly the team out to hang out and bond. We find that when you're doing something that you find meaningful, work doesn't feel like work. We're also further along in our careers and we all have families and other interests that we care about. We take ample time off (min 3 weeks/year) to recharge and don't work 24/7.
