Who's Saving the Planet careers
The “Who’s Saving the Planet” (WSTP) podcast was founded in early 2020 to highlight start-ups building sustainable products and technologies. Through 100 hours of CEOs we isolated a consistent pain point for companies making sustainable products (and consumers looking to buy them):
Problem 1: There’s no central location for consumers to flip through curated, sustainable products. There are a lot of sustainable products on the Internet. However, because they don’t big marketing budgets, consumers don’t know they exist.
Problem 2: “Sustainable” as a word is losing meaning. No one knows what to buy, or why certain products are “more sustainable” than others. This creates consumer confusion and lack of trust.
Problem 3: There is no existing measurement score that combines rigorous scientific method + consumer-centric delivery. That’s an opportunity.
So we're building the solution:
Online marketplace (one directional storefront) that curates products (beginning with the apparel industry), vetted using our proprietary scoring system, with a customer management system that provides users the capability to customize the score to their specific values. Launch of the product is schedule for late Q2, 2021.
Scoring system has launched in beta w/our first brand partners signed on to the platform. We have recruited an industry leading board of advisors around sustainability and science. The web design and brand strategy is under the supervision of a top-flight firm based out of Brooklyn. We're looking for the core team to get us to launch and who can help us scale to product market fit.
Sustainability is complicated, saving the planet shouldn't be.
