Through technology democracy & all it's stakeholders are in a unique position to dramatically improve how we govern. In order to engage the general public on local, state & federal issues of personal interest, achieve online substantive debate toward general consensus and ultimately achieve progress we need to fix the online credibility.
Currently there is no significant mechanism of online credibility measurement aside from counting followers, likes or up votes. The WETHOS Credibility Algorithm provides each user within the WETHOS platform a score that is benchmarked against all users on the platform. The benchmarked Credibility Score is comprised by calculating many factors (verified accounts, activity & connections to name a few), but most importantly user debate Topic Knowledge. Users delve into debate topics and competing arguments to varying degrees (summary, outline, details). Topic/solution knowledge is achieved via click-thru rates. Knowledge=Credibility=Power
