The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust backend systems and APIs that power our property management, resident services, and analytics platforms. It may also involve building out automation workflows using Generative AI and exposing internally developed predictive APIs programmatically. This role requires expertise in building scalable microservices, designing distributed systems architecture, and implementing high-performance backend solutions. The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead backend development projects to completion, and establish best practices for software engineering across the organization. Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs to support web applications Architect and implement microservices using containerization and orchestration technologies Build and optimize database schemas, queries, and data access layers for high-performance applications Implement event-driven architectures and message queuing systems for real-time data processing Develop authentication, authorization, and security frameworks to protect sensitive healthcare and resident data Build CI/CD pipelines for backend services to enable efficient, reliable, and automated deployments Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions Establish backend engineering best practices including code reviews, testing standards, and documentation Implement comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting systems for production services Design and implement caching strategies and performance optimization techniques Lead technical design discussions and mentor junior developers Tech Stack Programming Languages: Python, Node, SQL Cloud Platforms: AWS Data Warehousing: Snowflake Orchestration Tools: Airflow Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
