I never wanted to charge someone when quality was below my ridiculously high standards. If something is not fuzzed to 99% accuracy and designed with the established software engineering patterns, then I'd rather call it a Beta and open-source it. If it takes a long time to use a library or development methodology, why not invest in upgrading the shelf?? Why not make it easy for everyone to develop life-saving technology at the speed of their thoughts? This isn't about no-code drag and drop...it's about simple principles that allow knowledgeable people to build the big things without cost. Where's this work going to end up? A decentralized Internet, where everyone gets paid a fair share for sharing their data and their ideas. A new IT market where every piece of computing power is recycled into the network until the raw materials need to be recycled, by the people who might own extra devices that would otherwise lay around unused. It's not hard to notice the injustice brought on by those that pretend to know every language from C to Python is the end-all and be-all of building. Or those that say software design and education, in general, is not important. Meanwhile, patents, data mining, secrets, and micro-monetization are their go-to tools for making profits. It's time to stand up for objective success as an industry and as an ecosystem. It's time for these changes because humanity doesn't have a lot of time or resources when it comes to our health, our planet, and our future!
