WayBetter is a direct-to-consumer behavior change company focusing on weight management. We use a mix of gamification, social support, and behavioral economics to deliver amazing outcomes.

Customers completing our 6-month program lose an average of 12% of their starting weight. To date we’ve helped 1.3 million people and have paid out over $125 million to our winners.

We also received a $1.2M NIH grant (with a team out of Brown Med School) to run clinical trials on a gamified smoking cessation program.

Our founder dropped out of HBS to start his first VC-backed startup, which he sold for $33M. We’ve been extremely capital efficient, raising $7.5M and re-investing $30M of net contribution back into the business.
