When human urine and feces combine, it creates an unnatural compound which is incredibly expensive and energy intensive (and unsustainable) to process. But when separated, our byproducts can be processed into valuable end-products and re-introduced to the earth. This is the future of sanitation — circular and regenerative.

We have a working prototype, and are manufacturing our Alpha units for deployment this summer in our pilot. This pilot is in collaboration with our first customers: the Rich Earth Institute. REI is the leading research organization in recovering fertilizer from urine, and is currently applying urine-derived fertilizer to the agricultural system in Brattleboro, VT. Our first five toilets will be deployed with REI in August, allowing us to optimize for mass manufacturing.
