Founded by two veterinarians (one practicing, one coding/designing), Wagstarter is revolutionizing the funding of veterinary services.

The US veterinary services market totals around $17B, with 27,000 veterinary clinics grossing around only $630K/yr on average. By using Wagstarter, a clinic can easily recoup revenue they "lose" by doing cases pro-bono, by doing less-than-optimal diagnostic or treatment plans, or worst case, by performing "economic" euthanasias.

We believe the average clinic can increase their topline revenue by $5-10K per month, by doing 3-5 more "optimal workup and treatment" cases. Wagstarter's revenue comes from optional "tips" left by donors (similar to Watsi's model), which we're modeling at around 6-10% of total donations.

In addition to the revenue boost, clinics in our network get a serious goodwill boost, as they toughest cases are made more public and their own clientele rallies around one another in times of need.
