What happened to the golden age of social media? It was once a place to connect with friends, to stay up to date on things you find fun and interesting, and just be yourself. Social media has now become an echo chamber of ego and negativity. A place where it's "users" are just that - consumers being used and taken advantage of by large tech companies.
With Vybe, we hope to take some of these issues head on. Our goal is to bring back consumer empathy to the internet world, to allow our users to control the quality and quantity of what they see on social media, as opposed to pump endless content to their feeds. We'll never track, store, or sell un-needed data for profit, we'll never show you an ad for something you just searched for online, and most importantly, you'll never be treated as a lab rat. We aim to be the most consumer empathic social media platform on the market.
