Virtually Free careers
Virtually Free designs and develops therapeutic multi-platform games to improve and prevent mental health problems. People who suffer from these problems face diverse barriers, such as high costs or long waits. We aim to empower people with the tools to manage their conditions themselves and this way make therapy more accessible, affordable and engaging.
We have launched 2 mobile apps:
- Stress Free: in the app Dr Freeman, our virtual doctor, teaches four tested relaxation techniques, including meditation. The aim is for people to practise these regularly and improve their resilience.
- Phobia Free: treats spider phobia using games and augmented reality to do exposure therapy.
We have a third app undergoing clinical trial with University of Roehampton:
- Agoraphobia Free: Alex suffers from agoraphobia and makes the decision to recover, enlisting Dr Freeman’s help. Users will guide her through her recovery and then apply what they learn from helping her to their own situation.
