Cloud-based, mobile-enabled bioenergy feedstock transaction platform
The biggest challenge for geographically dispersed bio-refineries is to obtain the required amount and quality of biomass to operate a facility efficiently without delay or pause. Bioenergy Pro™ brings the power of mobile technology and sensory hardware into the procurement scheme of biomass for energy. Biomass feedstock is any biological material that meets specification for a technology to convert it into energy (e.g. corn stover, sugarcane bagasse, purpose-grown energy crops, and woody materials such as chips and sawdust). Biomass is converted into energy by directly burning to produce steam for heat and power (chips or pellets) and well as refining into liquid fuels/products. Biomass is not yet a commodity because it is highly variable, dispersed, and unquantified at a scale that translates to financial market protocols. It is often left to rot or burned in open pits because access to markets is inadequate. Our product is easy to use and priced similar to old-fashioned middlemen.
