UXLabs provides research and design services to help you create user-centred interactive products and services. Our R&D program focuses on human-information interaction; in particular the challenges involved in understanding the context in which people interact with information systems and in developing novel interaction metaphors and technologies to apply that understanding. This has three primary facets: • Investigation of natural language processing techniques for extracting structure and meaning from unstructured data • Development of new data visualisation and interaction techniques for exploring complex information spaces • Empirical studies of human information-seeking, in particular the user experience of exploratory search and knowledge discovery applications.
