UrbanFox is a fraud detection and prevention technology. Specifically it detects a type of complex fraud known as synthetic identity fraud. This is fraudsters create a multitude of fake accounts using a mix of real people's data. The fraudsters use complex networks of click farms to manipulate these accounts to make them "look and feel" like a real person. Using stolen card details they then make fraudulent purchases that they resell on for cash (Money Laundering). The average cost per synthetic fraud transaction is $13,400. UrbanFox tracks behaviors that separate the fraudsters from legitimate customers, without relying on transaction data.

Currently trialing UrbanFox as an accuracy of 91% (Ind. Average 48%) with a 4% false positive rate.

UrbanFox connects to a merchant or payment processor using an API.
