We founded Universal Standard to give plus-size women the same high-level design, visual style, and quality clothing provided to straight-size women – something virtually non-existent in extended sizes today.

We started by launching the direct to consumer e-commerce brand in September 2015 with a size-inclusive collection (sizes 10-28), to an overwhelming response from both customers and media – instantly distinguishing ourselves from all existing brands.

Our business model is based on the following principles: Online direct-to-consumer sales, seasonless styles, the elimination of collection-based production cycles, consistent releases of new products, continual sale of staples, no discounts or sales
