UPC is a decentralized power energy platform based on the blockchain technology. UPC will stop at nothing to continue implementing products that are essential to daily living. Our vision includes the belief that for the world to enjoy sustainable development, then everyone should have unhindered access to renewable energy. The UPC platform was created such that users of the system get rewards for participating and making contributions that affect the renewable energy community. To achieve the vision of creating a system where everyone can enjoy access to 100% renewable energy will require the implementation of these 5 features: 1. Decentralized Energy: By decentralizing the system, there will be no central entity or third party to interfere with the lease of power generation systems. This will be enabled by using Smart Contracts. This will save millions of dollars. 2. Democratized Grid Value: Democratizing the value of the grid will help ensure there is control over document versions, it also sees to the execution of Smart Contracts. 3. Transaction Information: Information on transactions are collected and stored on the blockchain ledger for record purposes. 4. Digitized Data: Every data on the platform will be digitized, secured with military-grade cryptography and stored beyond the reach of anyone other than the owners of the respective data or whoever the owners grant access to. 5. Distribution of Localized Renewable Energy Storage: One major shortcoming of solar-powered energy systems can be attributed to its intermittency; it leaves users what will happen on days when the sun does not shine. To deal with this, we have come up with a technology for storing the sun’s energy which is called “Opal Storage”.
