Uepaa is a peer-to-peer software company (SaaS) that enables developers to integrate proximity services and features into their apps. Unlike other location-based and proximity technologies, Uepaa is able to establish peer-to-peer connections even when a cellular, internet, or GPS connection is unavailable. Founded in January 2012, Uepaa is a Swiss ETH spin-off headquartered in Zürich that initially launched a p2p safety app which is now being actively used in the enterprise sector. The company launched its SDK p2pkit.io - substituting GPS and extending the range of beacons - in October 2015 and saw tremendous uptake within the first 6 months with 400+ clients from 40+ countries.
