Founded by Hugo Mercier & Joao Justi Hugo Mercier (https://www.linkedin.com/in/hugomercier/) - Founder & CEO Hugo was previously the founder and CEO of Dreem ($60m raised, 150 employees, exited), a deeptech company born out of a neuroscience lab and commercialising the Dreem Headband. Dreem was used by consumers to improve sleep, sent to the ISS to monitor astronauts' sleep, used by pharmaceutical companies to develop drugs on neurodegenerative disease, and used in sleep centers to diagnose sleep apnea more efficiently. In the last 2 years, Hugo has been investing, advising, and serving as a board member in startups. He also co-founded Gekko, an algorithmic trading firm, with Ness Benamran and Joseph Comisi. Joao Justi (https://www.linkedin.com/in/joao-a-justi/) - Founder & CTO Joao dropped out of college at 22 to start an algorithmic trading fund called Aleph One Fund. He hired a team of engineers who later joined Google and Amazon, and they achieved a 200x performance improvement in 4 years. Later, Joao joined Zama, a company that raised $70m and is a leader in homomorphic encryption. There, he led teams that developed a homomorphic virtual machine, GPU acceleration of cryptographic operators, and a homomorphic compiler. Afterward, he founded Videosupport, which was acquired in April 2023. He led both the ML engine and core product development at Videosupport.
