Millions of people in the US watch TV in public places such as airports, sports bars, gyms and in every waiting area every day - accumulating to >500 M viewing hours per month. All these TVs are muted.

Tunity enables these millions of people to hear any muted TV through a simple interface on their mobile device. Users simply scan the TV and Tunity detects the channels and streams the synchronized audio. By doing so, it increases engagement, extracts unique viewership data and creates an additional personalized and location based content and advertising channel for networks and broadcasters.

Nielsen has $3B of annual revenue from measuring TV ratings (>20% yoy growth in '14). 9% of viewership in the US is Out of Home (in Airports, Sports bars, gyms and other waiting areas) - none of this is measured causing $Bs of lost revenues to TV networks. Tunity is the only existing technology that can measure that. By Nielsen standards, this data can generate ~$300M of yearly income for Tunity.
