What sets Trustfall apart from other leading mental health apps is how we approach progress or success. Other mental health platforms boast an increase of their users’ overall happiness within a short time of interacting with their app. Trustfall recognizes that promises like those can lead to unrealistic timelines or senses of success, which can lead to frustration with oneself when that goal isn't met, or when setbacks occur. Our long term goals seek to alter today’s stigma towards mental health and mental health awareness and to free students from its limitations. The stigma against acknowledging and addressing mental health concerns, particularly for young people on college campuses, can be isolating. And while colleges are becoming more aware of the importance of mental health care, their services are lacking and only half-heartedly procured. We hope that in creating a platform and community that would appeal to the young adult/ college student market, we can normalize and prioritize discussions regarding mental disorders and mental wellness.
