Trust Labs careers
Everyone who's ever wondered whether to charge a friend for their specialized time faces the same realization: everything about the way money affects personal relationships really sucks.
We are solving this fundamental problem in human relationships by introducing time-denominated virtual currencies for people who know each other IRL, to finally make social capital work the way it could: so generosity translates to relatively tangible wealth.
mCred.org is Trust Labs' first experiment: a web app that lets people trade, store, & use their time as informal currency within their own networks or communities, denominated in groups of minutes, but without attaching that time to a dollar value. Basically, it's just tracking the favors we do for each other & quantifying the social capital created as a result of this generosity.
We've just soft-launched our friends-only alpha in Vegas, which has seen a great response so far.
This is just the first step toward reinventing personal credit.
