TransPod careers

TransPod Inc. is a Toronto based startup founded in 2015, in collaboration with the Institute of
Institute for Multidisciplinary Design and Innovation (University of Toronto), which is making hyperloop a reality in Canada. As the fifth mode of transportation, it will revolutionize transportation, shift the structure of cities and disrupt how people commute. TransPod will provide a high-speed ground transportation system that consists of pressurized passenger pods riding in reduced-pressure tubes on an air cushion driven by linear induction motors and air compressors. Hyperloop is a new mode of transportation proposed as an alternative to existing ways of traveling, with the intended benefits of higher performance at lower overall costs. It consists of a pod traveling through a tube under a light vacuum and suspended on air bearings. The pod travels up to transonic speeds resulting in a 35 minute travel time between 2 major cities covering a distance of over 600 km.
