Individual translators do advertise their services but they are restricted to their own specific and therefore limited language pairs. Given the massive worldwide demand, the widely available (but disparate) supply of interpreters and the pricing opportunities created by the current larger market participants' charging levels, we saw an opportunity to provide a far simpler, more user-friendly and more direct solution and decided to investigate it further.
