Problem: The special needs education system is not only complicated for parents but the currently available tools are not designed for equitable education. It takes an incredibly long time for a child to get diagnosed with a learning disability, and once they do, it takes even longer to get an Individual Education Plan or IEP. While well-funded schools might have enterprise-level software to track the goals of a student with a disability, parents receive paper-based IEPs, a system that has not changed for decades and is ripe for disruption. Parents usually have binders (or plastic bins) with such IEPs, which are extremely cumbersome to track, have to be physically shared with healthcare professionals like therapists, and have to be redone every time the child changes schools. They are not actionable and can have several inconsistencies.

Solution: Tracer is an all-in-one hub to track the developmental journey of a child through information synthesized from IEPs and documents supporting a child's progress by providing actionable insights to parents (and teachers). It is a secure place for parents to share this information with the multitude of people interacting with their special needs child so they can feel in control of the process. It is a vetted community healthcare professionals and service providers, who can guide parents once their child has been diagnosed.
