Totus Power careers

Jupiter 6, Totus Power’s product is a low-cost portable Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery pack, constructed using "used" Li-Ion batteries from Electric Vehicles (EVs). It can power low cost computers and tablets in schools located in the developing world for Upto 20 hours. Jupiter6 can deliver the same output as lead acid batteries, but is 1/10th the weight, is safe, with no toxic components like lead, and can be rapidly charged. The used Li-Ion batteries we use for our battery pack still retain 60-70% of their capacity after 6 to 7 years of EV use. They are as good as new for powering schools, classrooms and consumer devices. The recycling of used EV batteries helps develop a low cost solution.

Problem: More than 100 million children around the world are in schools facing regular, sustained power cuts. This hampers the children’s ability to study using tablets, and computers. Diesel generators, and storing power via toxic lead acid batteries is not feasible and/or is too expensive.
