We believe that both blockchains and decentralized applications (blockchain-based applications) are conceptually similar to traditional marketplace companies. They’re Internet-native businesses whose services generate revenue that’s split between the projects’ supply-side participants (liquidity providers or miners) and owners (tokenholders). These businesses are owned and operated by their tokenholders, similar to how companies are owned and operated by their shareholders.
