Thrive aims to help the over 600,000 babies per year (in America alone) that struggle to feed and in the process reshape the baby feeding business with its Smart Feeder device.
The ability to feed is central to healthy development of babies, to parental comfort, and a key driver of costs yet we have no device for measuring and monitoring it unlike other vital functions and health criteria. The Smart Feeder provides invaluable feeding health data to parents and to medicine by monitoring and reporting baby feeding performance much as a fitness tracker measures athletes.
Key questions are answered by the data; a) should we tube feed b) can we discharge to the home c) is feeding health adequate d) is treatment working e) what is optimal for this baby?
