• Identify new opportunities and new markets for the Thorlabs OEM team representing Thorlabs catalog of over 22,000 products as well as complete custom solutions and capabilities.
• Qualify and understand OEM customer technical needs (physics/engineering background required, optics/laser expertise preferred) to lead internal team of experts to deliver on OEM customer projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering discipline required.
• Master's Degree preferred.

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources to identify patterns, trends, and correlations using tools such as SQL, Python, or Power BI.
• Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical techniques to extract insights and generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations that inform data-driven decision-making.

• Manage, coach, and support team members across application development, QA, integrations, automation, and low-code development, including performance feedback, professional development, and workload balancing.

• Responsible for identifying problems and providing solutions for manufacturing issues relating to newly released products, as well as established production workflow.
• Participate in design reviews with the engineering department to help identify and discuss proper testing procedures and potential issues with newly developed products prior to releasing for production.
