We genuinely enjoy working together, trust each-other deeply, and speak candidly with one another without issue. When we make company decisions, everyone is clued in on exactly what’s happening and actively participates. This helps us arrive at the right answer faster and more consistently while making sure everyone is aligned. We’ve been able to make remote work incredibly well by using discord video chat as our ‘virtual office’. Whenever we’re working, we’re always in the video chat so we can actively work together as if we were in person (eg. if we have questions for each-other or want feedback/advice we can just talk). We have an office in SF’s Financial District where Ian & Daniel go in person ~4-5 days per week. We believe that autonomy over how one chooses to learn is a human right. Every individual should have control over what they learn, how they learn, & when they learn it. Our goal is to give everyone the ability to learn anything by themselves, without needing to depend on someone else to teach it to them.
